Black pigment for moulding is a carbon black masterbatch for the coloring of polyethylene for extrusion and injection moulding.
Black pigment for moulding contains 40 % carbon black in polyethylene.
LDPE or LLDPE polymer matrix, specialty carbon black. The actual filter test value is within 4 bar/gram screen DIN 3, which allows preserving high physico-mechanical properties when dyeing compounds. The material is also used to dye films thinner than 6 μm. The carbon black's sulfur content is 0.032 %, meeting the specified parameters required to dye PE 100.

PE 2422-2 is especially suited for the colouring of polyethylene films, sheets and injection moulding parts for which a perfectly uniform dispersion of carbon black is required.
For injection and blow moulding applications we recommend an addition rate of 1 to 3 % , depending on the opacity required. A higher addition rate for film applications is also possible.
